Tell Others of the Risen Jesus Christ

On Palm Sunday morning we heard “… the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David….” (Matthew 21:15). At that time only the chief priests, the scribes and those on the other side of the Truth were sore displeased. The moment and feeling of great joy for all the generations of the disciples of Jesus had come. By the Friday within that week, a great sadness over such a horrifying death meted to the Lord and Saviour of the world on a cruel cross.  Much of the great joy and great fear was the experience of Mary Magdalene and the other Mary as they ran from the empty tomb on Sunday morning. The Lord Jesus Christ has risen and the tomb is empty. This was their story, and they must not keep quiet about it.

Perhaps there isn’t any new message a preacher could bring that is different from past years. Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Prophet TB Joshua in this Easter Repeatedly Broadcast on Emmanuel.tv said that “the friends of Jesus are glad because of the resurrection”. Jesus Christ overcoming death by resurrection, as the scriptures foretold, is not just a message of idealism far from the lived experience of people today. The resurrection of Jesus has a lot to say to us amid the terrors, chaos, persecution, hatred amongst Christian sects, kidnapping, ritual killing, and every other uncertainty of today’s world. Jesus provides hope upon which to build our love and faith in God through Him.

It must be remembered that the life of faith is not always one of assurances or certainties. Jesus’ disciples struggled to understand their Master’s teachings and His journey to the cross. We all have roles to play as we work out our salvation and build our faith.

Now “…the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him’. So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to tell His disciples”, (Matthew 28:5-8). The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), together with every arm of the Ministry, including Emmanuel.tv, Emmanuel partners, has a single common assignment to let everyone know that Jesus has risen, the tomb is empty and that if we die with Jesus we shall live with Him also. Then, Jesus told His disciples, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”, (Matthew 28: 19-20).

During this lockdown period, due to the coronavirus global pandemic, some people came to tell me of their frustrations. They had planned to be in SCOAN from Palm Sunday to Easter Monday 2020. It was their long-drawn plan but “government didn’t allow them”. Is the world coming to an end? But what the followers of Jesus went through was nothing compared to a global pandemic we suspect is the outcome of a human error. The church leaders of those days, led by the Pharisees, the Scribes and others had gathered in opposition to the fulfilments of prophecies they read daily in their Synagogues. The Jesus of their expectation was contrary to Jesus of Nazareth and son of the Virgin Mary.

Meanwhile, everyone should note that Jesus Christ is not just some human idea put together as a thesis. In (1 John 1:1) we read, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life”. Hence, Jesus allowed Himself to die in our place and this is because of our sin. Jesus has the power to take back His life again because He is God. Finally as many as believe Him and follow Him Jesus makes them joint hires with Himself, and they become God’s children. This is why SCOAN is changing lives and turning them to Christ-followers. Early last year, TB Joshua gave a world Prophecy at the prayer mountain that the year we are entering will be a ‘fearful year’ and it was indeed very fearful. Which confirmed the Prophet Prophecy. However, he reiterated the same Prophecy early this year when he was releasing the Prophecy for 2020. The Prophet told us that it is not over yet and that by God’s time table, last year, 2019 will end till March 2020. And this again we can confirm from the event so far, since the beginning of 2020 that there is fear up till now around the world, especially, with the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

We need to know that this killer Coronavirus that is causing fear around the world and currently taking lives and putting many on the sick bed started in 2019. But there was less publicity than on its rampage.

Since the outbreak of this killer virus, there have been rumours going around about the source of the virus. Some are even insinuating that it might be a biological weapon targeted at those affected nations, comparing it with the past case of the Ebola Virus.

Regardless of the truth or falsehood behind this rumours, one thing we must know is that the human race is fighting one enemy, and that enemy is the devil. The devil is behind the killing and destruction that his taking place around the world.

Just like what the Prophet said to the world about the Ebola Virus, the Coronavirus killer diseases and other of its likes are all from the pit of hell – manufactured by Satan to inflict pains, death and hardship on the human race. Satan is the enemies of God’s people. Satan is the one causing hate and spreading mistrust amongst the human race and he is behind this present epidemic called Coronavirus.

It is high time we understand that our fellow humans are not our true enemies. Humans in is normal self cannot kill or cause harm to their fellow neighbours. Those that are being used to spread evil and causing division around the world are under invisible forces that can’t be seen by the human visible eyes.

It is easy for the world to condemn fellow human because we have been made to see ourselves as each other enemies. Unknowingly to us that the unfortunate victim and the propagator of the act are both victims who need help and God’s mercy. But, Who in the world will accept this today? We are quick to through stone at others for their misdeed forgetting that, we too are in need of God’s mercy.

As TB Joshua will rightly say, “If we fail to see that there are powers that cause people to bowed down in bondage, we are fighting the wrong battle.” Let us channel our energy to the right enemies, instead of targeting each other. We all are both victims of that one true enemy. The devil is the true enemies, not your fellow human. Once we start accepting this hard truth the better for the world.

The world needs to come together at this critical time to help China and other affected nations. We need to preach the message of the wound of one is the wound of all. Whatever is going on in China now should be a thing of concern to the entire human race. Christ called us to be our brother’s keepers. Let us continue to show love to them that are around us. Help each other in the little way we can.

Just as it is the wise thing for us as leaders and good citizens of the world to protect our respective countries and territories from this ravaging killer virus, we should also be very careful with our words and actions. We should not fall into the temptation of shutting our doors against our neighbours, because of fear. Remember that the devil is the father of fear.

Our words and actions should bring hope to today victims, not segregation and hate. Let us look for how we can help each other and heal our world. The world belongs to us all, God has given us this world. It’s just the devil that is wrestling it from us.

Yesterday was Ebola virus in some part of Africa, today is Coronavirus in some part of China and other nations. Who knows, it can be yours tomorrow. We all should come together and see how we can help to bring this spread to a stop.

Those close to the government of China and other affected nations should take it as a personal duty to inform them about the Prophet and the SCOAN Anointed water, that has been affected by God to break the world free from every bondage and sickness.

They have to make an official request before the Prophet can release the Anointed water to the affected nations. This is not an individual thing. Things like this need genuine government request and enforcement. Every one of us has a role to play. Our God is a God of orderliness. He leaves men to their own will and discretion. He does not force Himself on us.

Surely, the Prophet is praying fervently for the affected nations and the world healing. The Prophet is indeed concerned about the happenings around nations of the world. His prayer is to see a world that will be free from the stronghold of darkness.

May God deliver us from the enemy stronghold… Amen!

SURPRISE DELIVERANCE FOR A FORMER HOMOSEXUAL!!!

Born a male, Antonio Galeano had the desire to be a female. At the age of 6 years Galeano started to have affection for males. It was at this young age that he started wearing his sister’s female clothes. At the age of 11 years that was when he had his first homosexual experience with another man. As he grew up, the spirit of homosexuality continued in his life, to the point where he started to do prostitution. As a young man he started to take drugs and would sleep with multiple men as a prostitute.

Galeano says every time he looked at himself in the mirror he felt like a woman. He says his sister is a Christian and would always try to invite him to church. He would always aggressively decline the invitation to go to church because he says he had no desire for church or God. He would always tell her he would not go to church until he felt a desire to go to church. Galeano’s sister told him about the crusade with Prophet T.B. Joshua that was to take place in their country, Paraguay. In response to his sister’s invite to attend the miracle crusade, he mocked his sister and her attempt at inviting him to a ‘miracle crusade’.

Galeano says the evening the crusade was scheduled in his country, he was supposed to go out and prostitute that night. Instead of going to prostitute, he watched the crusade live via YouTube. He watched the live broadcast to simply mock the event. When he watched the crusade, it was the time of mass prayer. Confused at what he was watching and what was happening, Galeano says he felt strange sensations going through his body and he began to vomit right in his apartment. He was undergoing deliverance. After vomiting, he says he felt relieved – he was delivered. After that encounter with God in his apartment on that fateful evening, during the mass prayer, Galeano says understanding returned to him and he wanted to become a man again.

Now, three months later and in the Dominican Republic, Galeano says he is delivered and he can confirm that indeed he is a man again. He says he is happy and fulfilled to be a man. Galeano’s sister echoed Antonio’s testimony, she says growing up she remembers her brother, Antonio, always wearing her clothes and dressing like a female. Galeano’s sister told the congregation that she knew her brother would not attend the miracle crusade in Paraguay that day, so she brought his photograph with her to the stadium during the crusade in Paraguay with Prophet T.B. Joshua. Three months later, she confirms his deliverance and says he is now a man and no longer dresses like a woman.

After Galeano’s deliverance he says he was ashamed because he did not have any male clothes. His sister contacted the Emmanuel TV team to share his testimony. When the Emmanuel TV team was contacted, the team purchased an entire male wardrobe for him. Now, he says he is a believer – he believes in Jesus Christ, he is free and is content.

Finally Galeano shared his advice with the people of God saying: “Open your hearts for Jesus Christ. Believe in God that you will receive your miracle”.

My beloved Jim, I watched the video of your interview on Channels TV and I fully understand your frustration. No one is offended by your comments in the interview and my reply is not in any way met to condemn you but to tell you the truth as a token of my love.

I really don’t share the belief that you may have been contacted by the Prophet enemies and they have induced you with some benefits to say whatever you are saying right now or you are trying to save face because you have been made to believe that your encounter with God 4years ago was an embarrassment. But I am however surprised about your sudden change because you were actually the one defending your deliverance and was so excited that you had such a great encounter with God in the SCOAN.

Putting every doubts and speculation aside, I, however, think that your present frustration is a manifestation of your wrong belief system about the things of God and also your perception of T.B Joshua’s ministry. You said even if it was in hell there was a cure for your mum’s sickness, you would have go there and you also said you found the deliverance in the SCOAN laughable and your sister has to pinch you to tell you to stop. Those statements have much to say about your belief system.

These show that you neither understand the ways of God nor have faith in Him.  Your coming to the SCOAN to seek the face of God was based on a condition, “you must heal my mother”. T.B. Joshua is a man of God that works under the supervision of the Holy Ghost he is not a native doctor or a spiritualist that treat sick people. The healings and deliverance that take place in the SCOAN are for the salvation of your soul. You would not have bothered coming to the SCOAN since your motive was just for healing and not for your salvation. Instead, you would have gone to see a doctor or a spiritualist that may promise you instant healing.

If your faith in God is based on a condition that is not faith, you don’t condition God by saying, “I am coming to you so you can heal and bless me.” Meaning if God did not heal and bless you, you will not serve Him. God is looking for believers that will still have faith in Him even if their expectation were not meet.

Those that will say even if I’m healed or not God is still my healer, whether I’m saved or not God is still my saviour. Like the three Hebrew men: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who said to king Nebuchadnezzar,  “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”  (Daniel 3:17-18) There believe in God went beyond their present situation. They were ready to defend their faith and not worship the king’s gods even if God chooses to save them or not – that is the power of faith and that is the kind of faith Christ is looking for.

If you want to stabilise your faith in Christ Jesus in this unstable world, below are some tips that will help you to have peace of mind and stop bothering yourself with unexpected questions that may affect your peace:

1. There are questions about life we cannot answer
2. There are things in life we can never explain
3. There are things in life we can never change
4. There are things in life you cannot control
5. There are things in life you cannot stop
6. There are things in life we are not responsible for
7. There are things God can never explain to you – Let God be God.

I will end it here and I don’t want to say much to avoid a wrong interpretation of my motives. Just as the Prophet will say “Our response to a person who makes a mistake can also be a mistake if we are not careful.”

How T.B. Joshua prophesied victory for Emmanuel Macron in French Election

On Sunday 7th May 2017, Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua predicted victory in the French election for Emmanuel Macron merely hours before results were officially announced declaring him the winner.

Speaking to congregants at The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), a message equally broadcast live on the popular Christian channel Emmanuel TV, Joshua declared Macron’s victory was connected to his considerate stance on immigrants and refugees.

“It is prayer that will put him there, not anything – because of his heart for refugees and immigrants,” Joshua declared, adding that Jesus Christ too was once a refugee.

“We are praying for him and our prayer will answer,” he authoritatively declared. “I am not a politician but I pray every day for Emmanuel Macron because of what he believes,” the cleric proceeded.

Joshua appealed that most refugees were fleeing war-torn countries and should not be looked down upon because of some who perpetrate evil under such guise.

“We know there are some bad people among the refugees – but we cannot say because there are some bad people that we reject all of them,” he counselled.

The cleric further emphasised that his statements bore no political sentiment as “we are not playing politics in the Church”.

Several hours later, news broke that after an extraordinary election campaign full of twists and turns, Emmanuel Macron won a dramatic victory over his opponent Marine Le Pen to become the youngest ever French President.

Initial estimates have put Macron winning by 65% of the votes, an astonishing margin given his relatively recent burst onto the French political scene.

The video of Joshua’s prediction was hurriedly uploaded to popular video sharing site YouTube at the conclusion of the church service.

The cleric additionally told congregants that he had just arrived back from Israel where he met the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, as well as the Israeli Minister of Tourism, Mr Yariv Levin, further fuelling speculation of an imminent relocation.

A Nigerian former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has come out to made shocking revelations regarding the Friday, September 12th, 2014, Synagogue Church of All Nation, SCOAN’s building collapse that lead to the death of 126 persons, mostly South Africans pilgrims.

The former minister of Aviation in a series of Tweets and Facebook post on his social media page claimed to have carried out investigations into the collapse and is willing to expose the people behind it.

Everyone has a contribution to make. Whether you are poor, rich, immigrant or refugee – you have a contribution to make.

With regard to issues of illegal immigrants, drugs and other crimes, our duty is to work with the law enforcement agencies by giving them useful information. It is only when these agencies fail that we can lawfully protest.

Dear Africans, we should not let other fellow Africans feel unwelcome to our countries.

Africa has neglected her youths. Africa has abandoned the youths to themselves. Africa has failed to make provision for the youths, whereas tomorrow’s Africa is the youths.

When I think about the future of Africa, I have sleepless nights. Everything looks gloomy, frustrating, hopeless, dark, darksome, shadowy, shaded, dull, sunless and unilluminated.

We all take the responsibility for this state of affairs. What then is the way forward? The Lord has instructed me to make myself available and I know God, in His infinity, must have touched other Africans, so that we can come together to remedy this challenge.

We would be revealing some of those extraordinary things that took place in the SCOAN which are issues of concern in the world today and has placed the elites in the state of bewilderment or they are still looking for their solutions. However, they are like breathing when they are brought forth to the feet of the Prophet of God.

No words can adequately describe the suffering passed through by Tracy Stephen. What started as a promise of greener pastures abroad ended in a seven-month nightmare! The young hairdresser was told by a friend in Italy that multiple opportunities were available for her to prosper in Europe, if only she was ready to undertake the “two-week journey” there. Her mother gave instant approval, borrowing money to the tune of N280,000 to finance her  fledgling journey. However, things soon started taking a downward spiral when Tracy reached the Niger border on route to Libya. Packed like a sardine into a small van, a vehicle that was supposed to contain just seven people became the hiding place of over 40. The horrors of that three-day journey through the desert is difficult to describe. Multiple dead bodies lay strewn in the sand as the vehicle hurtled through the wilderness – no food, water or sleep for its choked occupants. The harrowing voices she heard in the desert became a mental torture. Upon arrival, a deep well filled with dirty water provided slight respite – until they learned that a dead body lay in the abyss, rotting for the past week. Encamped in a prison-like environment, Tracy joined hundreds of young men and women who were bent on reaching Europe through illegal means – even if it meant losing their lives.

What the young lady from Edo State witnessed during her ordeal can be termed unimaginable – sleeping next to a colleague to awake and see a corpse besides her, multiple women raped at gunpoint by men at whim, drinking her own urine to quench the burning thirst of the Libyan desert. Finally making it onto a rickety, makeshift inflatable boat, more than 140 desperate individuals attempted the crossing from Libya to Italian seas. None could swim nor did any have a life-jacket. A day into their hellish journey, the immigrants realised that the device supposed to be on board to send a distress signal to the Italian coast-guard was missing. With fuel disappearing and the boat leaking, they decided to return towards Libya. No sooner had they backtracked on their ill-fated journey that the fuel was finished totally, stranding the immigrants in the midst of the high sea – without any food, water or sight of the shore. A man aboard the vessel soon succumbed to the elements and died in their midst but fear of attracting a shark kept them from throwing his decomposing body into the sea. After finally being spotted by a Libyan rescue ship, the immigrants were sent straight to prison upon reaching dry ground. Many give much attention to persons who do nothing meaningful, than investing their time and energy in accusing and condemning others because we live in a world where hate has taking over sound reasoning, where opinions are cheap, and where good sense is trampled upon. We celebrate the intended foolishness the irrational bring to the public domain when they attempt to rationalize an otherwise clear case of sabotage, impunity, injustice and the infringement on others freedom of worship and expression.

Some critics will say, “Justice for all” is when T.B. Joshua is arrested or when he is forced to come to court, but same will never explain why the government seems not to care or is hiding the identity of the Pilot and Crew on board in the Military Airplane from the public, that remains the major suspect in the SCOAN guest house collapse. This case should be properly pondered upon and critically tackled before we can really know how sincere the so called “justice for all” is.

It cannot just be concluded by those in authorities that it is impossible for the guest house to be brought down by an infrasonic weapon, when no appropriate investigation has been done or tendered forward to prove otherwise. Remember that in the scene of crime everyone is a suspect, including the unimaginable. The recent terrorist attack in Brussels can attest to that; the world can see how the national security of that Nation are so proactive, using CCTV footage to trace and track-down major suspects behind the terrorist attack.

SCOAN collapse: NUPENG, NLC uphold it was a bomb attack

The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Lagos State Chapters, stormed the premises of the Ikeja High Court to register their support for T.B. Joshua and The Registered Trustees of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

This took place during the resumed hearing on Friday, April 8, 2016 into the case involving the contractors that handled the construction of the collapsed building at The SCOAN in September 2014.

The delegation from NUPENG carried placards with inscriptions like: “WE WANT JUSTICE FOR T.B. JOSHUA”, “IT WAS A BOMB ATTACK”.

Meanwhile, a representative from NLC told journalists that from all indications, the building had been sabotaged. He argued that the way the ill-fated structure collapsed was strange and did not suggest structural failure in any way.

They promised to meet the Lagos State Government to demand a review of the whole matter, stressing that the state should not allow a miscarriage of justice.

“We strongly believe that the Synagogue building was bombed based on what we saw in the CCTV footage and from the way the building fell flat in one swoop”, said a NUPENG delegate at the court.

Meanwhile, Justice Lawal Akapo of the Ikeja High Court has adjourned proceedings to Tuesday, April 19, 2016 for ruling in the applications filed by counsel to the defendants at the Court of Appeal.

Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), E.L Akpofure (SAN), Titilayo Akinlawon (SAN) and Olalekan Ojo, all counsels to the defendants, argued that the court should stay action pending the determination of the suit they have filed at the Court of Appeal.

Last week, a delegation led by NLC Lagos State Chairman, Comrade Idowu Adelakun, paid a courtesy visit to Joshua, calling on the government to drop its charges against The SCOAN and praising its impact on Nigeria’s tourism industry.

“The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) remains the only ministry in Africa that attracts the highest number of foreign visitors thereby boosting the religious tourism potentials of Nigeria and also earning huge foreign exchange for the country,” he said.

It is so ridiculous how some persons, out of their short-sighted reasoning are quick to generalise and link the Lekki Garden building collapse to that of the guest house of The Synagogue Church of all Nation (SCOAN) which has been clearly made known by the SCOAN that the church building collapse was as a result of sabotage. They claim if Lekki Garden collapse was due to faulty construction (Still under investigation) therefore SCOAN guest house collapsed was also as a result of same phenomenon. This is a pure error in reasoning.

Linking the Lekki Garden case to that of SCOAN is fallacious; in academics it’s called the Fallacy of Composition. If a member in family A is HIV positive, we therefore conclude that all members of Family A are all HIV positive. Boko Haram is a terrorist group from Northern Nigerian; we therefore conclude that all Northern Nigerians are Boko Haram terrorist. This pattern of reasoning is purely an error, and such conclusions normally emanate out of hate, bias and misleading tendency. The SCOAN case should be investigated according to the available evidences and likewise should other building collapse cases in Lagos be handled and investigated according to the tendered evidences, not linking or comparing one to the other because they are of different phenomenon.

It is important to know that apart from the one-sided verdict of the illegitimate Coroner Oyetade Komolafe’s inquest and the disinformation emanating from some well know Anti-SCOAN media on the actual cause of the SCOAN guest house collapse, the record still stands that the SCOAN guest house was attacked. Therefore, for one to say because of the Lekki Garden building collapse in Lagos, all buildings that collapsed including that of SCOAN are all due to structural failure is pure lies and we are advising members of the public not to be misled by this gimmick emanating from the pit of hell to divert attention and cover-up the SCOAN guest house attack. REPOST: ALL MATERIALS USED IN COLLAPSED SYNAGOGUE BUILDING WERE APPROVED – SON

According to the representative of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) in the coronal court, all materials used in the construction of the collapsed SCOAN guest house were of high standard in his report, the SON representative stated, “I am surprised at the rate and speed the building collapsed. It’s quite unusual and I believe it should be investigated”- SON. this he said in high suspicion of the rate of speed and manner the SCOAN guest collapsed, which is synonymous with controlled demolition thus calling for a proper investigation to be done in ascertaining the real cause of the collapsed building.

What is keeping the Nigeria government from exposing the identity of the pilot and the crew on board the military airplane that remain the major suspect in the collapsed SCOAN guest house saga. Why are they not talking about the main threat and suspect, the military airplane? why are they cunningly trying to compare the SCOAN building collapse to other Lagos building Collapse when they have not yet answer the main question, the military airplane!!!!…

“At the Friday November 21, 2014 sitting of the coroner’s inquest into the collapsed Synagogue, Church Of All Nations building, the court was told that the building materials used for the construction of the collapsed building were approved by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON).

This submission was made by the Director in charge of Inspectorate and Compliance at SON, Engineer Bede Obayi. According to him, iron rod samples taken for test at different laboratories showed that they were good and met the standard requirement. He raised reservations over the standard of the concrete debris, stating that the sample they took was slightly below the required density. However, he posited that the result could have been influenced by the pressure factor of the collapsed building, which makes it indeterminate in concluding if this contributed to the collapse.

Engineer Obayi also expressed surprise about the speed at which the building collapsed, fuelling speculations that the controlled demolition theory was indeed plausible. “Candidly, I am surprised at the rate and speed the building collapsed. It’s quite unusual and I believe it should be investigated. I also admit that the result of the test conducted on the debris is suspect. Due to the technicality involved, our investigation is inconclusive. I was not involved in the observation neither did I participate in the conduct of the test. I don’t even know any of the people saddled with the responsibility of conducting the test. We went for test in three labs and the final reports indicated that most of the materials used in the Synagogue building met our standard requirements. All the sources used were also approved SON sources.”

Meanwhile, members of the public and other interested parties attending the hearing have voiced out their reservations about the biased manner in which the magistrate seems to be handling proceedings at the inquest. Some of them who spoke to the media on conditions of anonymity complained of the magistrate’s partial disposition. They observed that he was always visibly harsh on witnesses who gave evidence which seemed to support the controlled demolition theory. Others said his disposition was suggestive of a calculated attempt by the state to persecute a particular party, stressing that the inquest has lost its integrity

In another development, counsel to The SCOAN, Olalekan Ojo has filed an application challenging the jurisdiction of the magistrate for encroaching on matters beyond the scope of the inquest by inviting Prophet T.B. Joshua, who was not a witness to the incident. He said the primary scope of the inquest was to determine the cause of death and not pry into private matters that bear no consequence on it.

On his part, the magistrate, Oyetade Komolafe grudgingly granted the request of the counsel saying, “I am not against Prophet T.B. Joshua and Lagos State is not against him. I will respect the law and await the report or verdict of the High Court. Therefore, I will hands off the issue of inviting him as a witness for now till the outcome from the High Court.”

However, he held up the letter submitted to the High Court challenging his jurisdiction and candidly stated, “I can tell you that this letter will not get to anywhere. I count it dead already; it is not an issue.” The statement added credence to concerns voiced about his prejudicial handling of the inquest.“

SYNAGOGUE COLLAPSE: Coroner cannot determine that Collapse was due to structural failure

The coroner’s verdict which recommended the prosecution of the engineer and contractor that handled the collapsed Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) building has been faulted by Justice K.O. Alogba of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division.

While delivering his ruling on the application for judicial review filed by the lawyers to Registered Trustees of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Justice Alogba clearly stated that the coroner lacked the powers to recommend the prosecution of the contractors.

It would be recalled that in its verdict of July 8, 2015, the coroner had recommended the prosecution of the contractors that handled the construction of the collapsed building in persons of engineer Akinbola Fatiregun of Hardrock Construction and engineer Oladele Ogundeji.

Justice Alogba equally faulted the finding of the coroner which stated that the collapse of the building was due to structural failure. The judge submitted further that only a civil court could make such findings based on the facts presented before it.

Earlier, Justice Alogba had refused the prayer of the Lagos State Government urging the court to strike out the application for judicial review arguing that it was filed out of time.

Responding to the prayer of the Lagos State Government, Justice Alogba submitted that the application was in order as it was filed within the three months period stipulated by the rules of court.

As it stands, the recommendation by the coroner that the contractors should be prosecuted has been quashed by Justice K.O. Alogba of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division.

In a shocking turnaround, the Lagos State High Court has admitted that the coroner’s inquest which indicted the engineers and contractors of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) guesthouse that collapsed is at fault.

According to an exclusive report leaked online, Justice K.O. Alogba of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division stated that the coroner lacked the powers to recommend the prosecution of the contractors.

While delivering his ruling on the application for judicial review filed by the lawyers to the Registered Trustees of The SCOAN on Wednesday 2nd March 2016, Alogba equally faulted the conclusion of the coroner which stated the tragic collapse of the building was due to structural failure.

The trial into collapse of the guesthouse which resulted in the deaths of 115 people has been fraught with controversy from its onset.

In its verdict of July 8, 2015, the coroner headed by Justice Oyetade Komolafe had recommended the prosecution of the contractors that handled the construction of the collapsed building, a ruling that has faced immense legal challenges ever since.

The SCOAN immediately claimed the ruling was ‘biased’ and ‘one-sided’, maintaining that external forces sabotaged the building and the collapse was the result of an ‘attack’, not any structural defect.

Justice Alogba had earlier refused the prayer of the Lagos State Government, urging the court to strike out the application for judicial review.

Alogba submitted that the application was legally viable as it was filed within the three months period stipulated.

The new ruling from Justice Alogba has effectively halted the recommendation by the coroner that the contractors should be prosecuted.

An Abuja-based politician has made more surprising revelations about the role allegedly played by ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua in the historic presidential elections held almost one year ago in Nigeria that saw a peaceful transition of power.

Speaking before a packed congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Ambassador Raphael Horsfall explained how Joshua revealed the outcome of the elections to him several weeks prior to the actual vote.

“He told me categorically that I should go and tell Mr President that it is too late, that nothing can be done, that we will lose the election but God will prevail on the peace of Nigeria,” said Horsfall, who served as a Special Assistant to Prof Rufai Alkali, the Political Advisor of Nigeria’s Former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

“That is why when we lost elections, I was at peace,” Horsfall continued, adding that his visit to The SCOAN came after a meeting with Jonathan and his wife Dame Patience where he suggested they sought ‘spiritual guidance’ from Joshua as the tense time of elections neared.

“Mr President was calm after hearing that word from Prophet T.B. Joshua. Everyone was telling him to annul the election, which he had the power to do, but nobody knew this is actually the reason why His Excellency conceded defeat to the opposition,” Horsfall, who said he is currently a UN ambassador and working with the presidency, continued.

The revelation from the outspoken politician corroborates Joshua’s controversial statement immediately after the election that he had warned Jonathan of his impending loss.

According to a report published in several newspapers, the cleric said ‘God’ spoke to him with a message for Mr. Jonathan that whatever the outcome of the election, his regime had come to an end and his concession of defeat would ‘save the lives of millions’.

When a presidential aide worshipped at his church, Joshua said he met him and personally relayed the revelation. “Soft landing – that is the language I sent to the president,” he told the congregation the Sunday following the historic elections which saw Muhammadu Buhari ascend to power.

Horsfall explained that his initial encounter with the controversial Nigerian cleric came in 2009 when he was part of a delegation from the Niger-Delta region who sought spiritual solution at The SCOAN to the growing menace of militancy.

“The guidance he gave to us, which we communicated to the then President, His Excellency Umaru Musa Yar-Adua, was what led to the Amnesty Program which Nigerians and the entire people of the region are enjoying presently,” Horsfall revealed.

He implored Nigeria’s current leadership to seek ‘spiritual guidance’ to address the growing economic challenges engulfing the nation.

“This is not time for religious sentiment, nor is it a time for ethnic sentiment,” Horsfall passionately counselled.

“This is a time to build Nigeria. In building a strong, united Nigeria – we need God. God has blessed us with a man that speaks to God and hears from Him directly. Why is it that our economy is crumbling and we are still folding our hands? Let us come to inquire of the Most High God what we should do.”

Horsfall was also quick to quash any insinuations that money was exchanged with Joshua by politicians during the election period. “Someone who tells you that nothing can be done – will he ask you to bring anything?”

MY VISIT TO THE SCOAN

Since I could not pay my sister’s medical bills, the hospital management later asked me to take her home; for it would be better she died at home. After taking her home, I left for Lagos and that was a week and two days after my encounter with the nurse, who advised me to go to SCOAN to see if the anointing there could help expose the evil powers behind my continuous failure, limitations in progress and restore my Sister’s health. I traveled by land which made my journey stressful and hectic, on my way to the SCOAN, I almost encountered an accident which made me doubt the more about my awkward coming to the SCOAN. When I arrived, I lodged in a nearby hotel to rest my head in anticipation for the next day because I was anxiously waiting to see the SCOAN finally and find out for myself all what I had been hearing from people.

The next day which happened to be a Sunday I finally came to the SCOAN and that was the first time I entered the church. When I entered the Church auditorium, I thought I would find the horns of the devil and the sacrifices people had brought for sanctification in the church as I believed but what I saw was different. I saw a lot of frame containing Jesus and His disciples in the church’s ceiling and the beautiful altar of the man of God well decorated with grasses, rocks, a pool of pure water and fruits of different kinds. The building was no respecter of persons; no matter how rich or successful a person is, once you are inside SCOAN you look just ordinary. I liked that very much but I was not totally convinced until I saw the man of God live for the first time. Immediately, I felt the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit. What struck me most were the long hours we all endured in the presence of the Almighty; I enjoyed every moment of that experience.

I was seating at the new comers section; I sat with my fingers crossed as the Man of God moved around the new comers section. The Prophet moved towards me and told me he would like to speak to me, I felt uneasy and reluctant because of my past but I finally allowed him to speak to me. He started prophesying to me and he was very accurate; he told me about my past which comprised blasphemy, my cult life, demonic attacks and financial problem. Hearing all these, I was perplexed; in fact words could not explain how I felt at that spot.

He prophesied about my sister’s illness and declared her free of her illness; he also prayed for me. While the prayer was on, I just saw myself more like in the spiritual realm fighting with the demon in me. I finally won the demon I saw within me and found myself on the floor, I jumped up immediately and cleaned myself up; the man of God declared me free and congratulated me for my deliverance.
